Preperation is always key before painting. Here in Broadbeach waters on the gold coast we have prepared this timber pergola by hand sanding all areas first to create a smooth surface. Exterior timber filler is then applied to all areas which show signs of aging, weathering and damaged timber including knots in the timber, splitting, nail holes etc…
X1 coat of Dulux Precision shellac primer is applied to hold back all future stains and tannins. X2 coats of Dulux weather shield Low-sheen is then applied for a final finish.
